Meditation for Beginners: No Secluded Mountaintop Required
Wednesdays, September 24th - October 15th / 7:15 PM - 8:15 PM
In this repeating four-week series, you'll discover the art of meditation takes on many forms. No one-size-fits-all here! Experience a calming atmosphere that fosters relaxation and discover what type of meditation is best suited for your personal style. Here's a hint: if you can't sit still for 5 minutes...maybe a walking meditation is for you! Chairs are also available.
What to Expect:
Each session is designed to give the curious seeker a deeper understanding of what meditation is -- and is not.
These classes will be more of a "survey" of global histories, various types of meditation (breathwork, transcendental, single-point focus, etc), and each will stand alone with the bulk of the class dedicated to experiencing a sample for that week's topic.
You’ll experience how to cultivate skills that can build emotional and mental resilience, increase concentration skills and build body-awareness -- all while enjoying the tranquil ambiance created by the lovely art-filled space and heated floors!
Whether you are new to meditation or looking to deepen your practice, this class will provide the perfect foundation. Bring a yoga mat or cushion, wear comfortable clothing, and prepare to embark on a journey of self-discovery and relaxation.
Registration:
Spaces are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot today! Come embrace the calm, enjoy the journey and the results of a practice that can add peace in unexpected places.
Individual classes are $20, with a discounted rate of $15/class when registered for the full 4 week series at $60
