ASL Yoga Workshop: Rhythm of Rest

In this Workshop we will study the rhythms and cycles present in Nature, explore the rhythms of our own cyclical nature through the practices of Intention, Breath, Movement and Rest, and learn how to align with the rhythm of Life off our mat. Workshop will be delivered with American Sign Language.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR: Eileen Hayes began studying yoga while in graduate school completing her Masters of Social Work degree, with the intention of discovering a method to empower herself and others to embrace the ability to foster healing in all aspects of life. Discovering this in yoga, she was led to an opportunity working at an ashram in the Catskill Mountains studying Yoga asana and philosophy, being immersed in the Vedic culture out of which yoga was born. Upon returning to Rochester she went on to complete her 200 hour training in an alignment based hatha yoga tradition grounded in Tantric philosophy at Blue Lotus Yoga. She finds great joy and fulfillment in offering others a dedicated and consistent practice with respect for its power to transform the individual from the inside out by reconnecting them to their innate sense of wholeness.
