Denise Wellin, Nutritious Movement™ certified Restorative Exercise Specialist™ and Yoga Instructor

Denise spent her early years doing aerobics and running 5Ks.  However, as an ASL Interpreter, she held lots of shoulder, neck and arm tension which lead to severe tendinitis and a change of careers. That change sparked health changes and eventually lead her to discover the benefits of “movement nutrition”.  She gradually adapted her whole life to wellness.  Denise is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance and certified by Nutritious Movement as a Restorative Exercise Specialist.  She received training in instructing the corrective exercises you might find featured in books by Katy Bowman such as ‘Move Your DNA’ and ‘Dynamic Aging’.   

Denise enjoys balancing on one leg while waiting in lines, setting her phone alarm to take stretch breaks, removing her shoes for a tennis ball sole massage while at her standing desk, and using her squatty potty and floor seating (she doesn’t own a couch) to get more squats in throughout her day. Her classes provide recipes for the moves our bodies are missing in daily life, yet can be so enjoyable when included as a regular part of our movement diet.
