The Yin Within: An Introduction to Yin Yoga
In this two hour workshop, we will hold floor poses as a way to gently stretch the tight tissues in our bodies and help release aches and pains in our spine, hips, knees, ankles and shoulders. During this time, we will learn the main principles of Yin Yoga and the physical, energetic and mental/emotional benefits that result from each and we will work a guided meditation (or 2!) into class to offer a sense of lightness. Within the silence and stillness of a passive Yin practice, we work through the distractions and discomfort of our bodies and minds, making it a challenging, but rewarding practice.
WHAT IS YIN YOGA? Yin Yoga is the opposite of Yang (or active) yoga that you're used to. It is a gentle stress of the muscles and connective tissue that cause us pain as we age. Floor poses are held for 3-5 minutes to help promote flexibility and healthier joints.
WHY PRACTICE YIN? Yin Yoga offers greater range of motion, younger looking skin, a new way to release toxins and greater respect for your body!

She fills her classes with alignment cues, anatomy tips, yoga philosophy and meditation techniques to help you to deepen your relationship with your Divine & your higher Self.
