Thanksgiving Day Gratitude Yoga Class

Give Thanks and Give Back!

Join Joanna McNelis, E-RYT for a special all-levels Thanksgiving Day Hatha Yoga Class at Nu Movement, benefiting Mary's Place LLC a non-profit refugee outreach center in Northwest Rochester, NY. Start your thanksgiving day in gratitude and prepare for the festivities with a gentle Hatha Flow Yoga class. This is a donation-based class. In lieu of charge, please bring donations {suggestions below}. Nu Movement will drop off all donated items to a local charity - Mary's Place.

Mary’s Place was founded in 2009 as an enrichment center for refugees to find independence and gain citizenship.  As the co-founders saw the needs of the refugee community rise, they expanded their programs to food donation, counseling, English Classes, after school tutoring, and case work (including Green Card assistance).

They feed, clothe, offer English tutoring for children and adults, hold pre-K classes, tutor K-12 students, supply students with school materials, lead field trips, and provide a safe community atmosphere.

Help us help them by squeezing in a pre-turkey-or-tofurky-feast yoga sesh!  Come enjoy a relaxing yoga class, a cup of hot tea, all while donating to a good cause.  Hope to see you on Thanksgiving!

+ One attendee will receive a free 5 Class Pass - their choice of any one of Joanna's classes at Nu Movement. +
