The Morning Practice with Liza Savage-Katz is a donation based program of yoga, meditation and writing. This practice is open to everyone who has a desire to improve their life. By creating an early morning routine of yoga, meditation and creative writing, participants are enabled to create a clear and conscious beginning to each day, thus setting themselves up for success.
The 75 minute practice is divided into a 50 minute yoga practice based on the Astanga primary series, followed by a 10 minute meditation and a 15 minute morning pages writing exercise. Morning pages is an exercise of writing 3 pages of longhand on whatever you need or want to get out on paper. It can be a to do list, a brain dump of the clutter taking up space in your head, or that book that you have been wanting to write for years and is eating away at you. In a year of 15 minutes of daily writing, you will have that book!

Rejuvenating Lunchtime Yoga
An All Levels Vinyasa flow and Meditation with Kathryn Lorraine. This 45 min vinyasa class is the solution to the mid day crash. A perfect mix of exercise and relaxation allowing you to return to work feeling rejuvenated and inspired.
Class will include Pranayam (breathwork) to help reduce stress and enhance focus and concentration. Asana will be set to motivating music as we flow through different sequences focused on lengthening and strengthening the places in our bodies that become stagnant (especially if you find yourself at a desk throughout the day).
Class will end with a deeply relaxing guided meditation (better than a nap). You can expect to leave feeling rejuvenated and clear, ready to own the rest of your day. This is an all levels class. More experienced yogis will have the option to practice inversions.

Jivamukti is a physical, ethical, and spiritual practice, combining both a hatha yoga and vinyasa-based physical style with adherence to five central tenets: shastra (scripture), bhakti (devotion), ahimsa (nonviolence, non-harming), nāda (music), and dhyana (meditation).
This well-rounded 75min evening class lead by Tara Sullivan, infuses an Art Gallery ambiance and music set to the pace of an inspired Vinyasa Flow. Perfect to ease away the day and prepare you for a restful night's sleep. We recommend that students seeking to take this class feel confident, safe, and strong throughout classic sun salutations.

Cardio Barre Fitness with instructor Heather Farquhar is a dance inspired fitness class designed to target all areas of the body. Cardio Barre will add an challenging interval workout with intense cardio and a sculpting workout at the barre. This class will help to give you elongated, sculpted, lean muscles without impact. It brings together the physical and aesthetic benefits of lengthening and strengthening of muscles that you didn't even know existed. Modifications will be made to accommodate all levels, no experience necessary.
MONDAYS 7:45pm - 8:45pm
Strengthen and Stretch over your lunch break, with Instructor Leslie MacDonald. in this mid-day Pilates-based 45 minute session! No need to hit the showers after. We will work on deep core stabilizing, deep, restorative breathing and neck, shoulder, hip and back releases to send you back to work energized and relaxed, and perhaps “glowing” just a bit. Come as you are, but make sure to wear clothes you can move in, or something to change into quickly. Variations done standing, or seated in a chair will be offered for all those who prefer not to get down on the floor. Mats provided.

It’s popular these days to say, “yoga is for everybody.” But is that really true? Everybody? Even those who, due to age, inflexibility, or injury, need to practice completely from a chair?
Absolutely! EVERY body!
Gentle chair yoga with Marissa Bland, is the perfect solution for those with balance issues, those who have trouble getting to the floor, people looking to start slowly, or anyone who would just feel more confident in starting out this way. It not only has the benefits of regular yoga, such as helping with stress, pain, and fatigue, but it can also help with joint lubrication, balance, and even age-specific issues like menopause and arthritis. This sequence will benefit anyone who prefers to do yoga in a chair, such as seniors, people recovering from injury, or those who sit for prolonged hours at work.

REVIVE AFTER FIVE YOGA Flow
Shake off your after-work blues and revive your body, with this fun, 60-minute Vinyasa flow. Nicole Gilbert will guide you in a safe and comfortable environment to find your own personal edge. A Regular yoga practice will release stress, help you attain right body weight, and improve your posture and general health. You'll be surprised how great you can feel and how many areas of the body you can target before heading home for the day.
Sitting at a desk all day and hunching over your smartphone leads to tightness in your shoulders, neck, back, hips, hamstrings, and chest. This vigorous but gentle practice will, challenge your strength and balance, ignite your body and help you to unwind after a long day. Finishing your practice with a deep relaxing shavasana will shift you both in body and mind. Give yourself this hour to look forward to every Tuesday!
TUESDAYS 5:45pm - 6:45pm - class begins 5/2
Come experience a unique style of dance merging African, Modern, Ballet and Jazz. Transcend beyond traditional movement to an eclectic combination of linear, asymmetrical, rhythmic movement found in Afro- Modern Mix.
This class with Kassandra Baggs, combines the grace and elegance of ballet, the grounded earthy rhythmic flow of African Dance, the expressive freedom and pose of modern dance and the energetic syncopation of Jazz. Ages 13 and up are welcome. Students should have previous dance experience. Class begins with a floor warm up, followed by a standing sequence leading into adagio. Please come prepared with a leotard, stretch pants, aerobic pants or Yoga Pants. Class is barefoot, no shoes required.
TUESDAYS 6:45pm - 7:45pm
This class is for those who have the desire to incorporate a wellness practice into their weekly schedule, but do not necessarily have time in the morning OR evening.
The gentle, rhythmic movements of Qigong (Chi Kung) reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, and enhance the immune system. It has also been found to improve cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions.
One of the more important long-term effects is that Qigong reestablishes the body/mind/soul connection. Please join Raphaela McCormack in this truly holistic and beneficial weekly afternoon class.
WEDNESDAYS 12:00pm - 1:00pm
This is a dance inspired movement class where children can experience the joy of movement in a non-competitive, nourishing and fun environment. Instructor, Aimee Ruscio, encourages the children to use their imagination to inspire their movements; in this way the ‘dance steps’ come alive and make a deeper connection with the child.
Children learn to use movement to tell stories, share new ideas, connect with nature and express their feelings. Each class features a new adventure or ‘story journey’ which they experience through movement and simple props such as silks or simple costumes. The final class in the series will feature a short showcase, or informal performance, so children can share what they’ve experienced with their families.

A Pilates-based adult ballet class with focus on strength, core stability and freedom of movement! Floor barre, standing barre, adage, and allegro movements incorporating the principals of Pilates, all set to the beautiful music of dance.
Ideal for the “come back” dancer, modern and contemporary dancers wanting to fine-tune their technique, athletes and anyone wanting to stretch and strengthen, relax and release. Low or no impact variations offered for all allegro steps, with special care and attention paid to neck, shoulders, knees, hips and feet. A ballet class for everyone!

Awareness Yoga with Vesna Sanders is a Hatha Yoga class that incorporates a gentle flow. It attends to all aspects of our being – body, mind, breath, emotions and the inner Self, with the goal of establishing you in the present moment.
This is a very accessible and well-rounded practice, appropriate for both relatively new and more experienced students. In this class, we take a relaxed, non-competitive approach to our yoga postures. We move and breathe with full awareness, which contributes to a clear mind and a healthy, strong body. Yogic poses and simple meditation techniques help improve your concentration, bring about self-connection as well as recharge the body. We will end each practice with a guided relaxation.

Continuum is a movement and sound-based practice that is rooted in the life inquiry of Emilie Conrad Da’Oud (1934-1914). Like a gem, Continuum has numerous facets that allow the work to be approached from multiple directions and angles.
Continuum with Instructor, Priscilla Auchincloss, is relevant to anyone invested in healing and personal development, curious about the science of the body, engaged in the arts, or actively exploring the spiritual or the unknown.

new to yoga 4 week series
Real yoga. Real simple. Starting May 4th, Instructor, Jenn Kelly - Peterson will run a 4 class New to Yoga series from 12-1 pm at Nu Movement. The 4 week class series will repeat starting June 1st, also 12-1 pm. These classes are intended to truly be both accessible and beneficial to students of all levels. Yes – even for those of you who have never done yoga before, and for those of you who fear you will never be able to touch your toes, and for those of you that think you aren’t strong enough. You are ready!
These classes will build from one week to the next - the goal is for you to finish the series feeling absolutely confident to drop into any yoga class, anywhere. That being said, feel free to drop in for a single class if you can't make all four! Wear something you feel you can move freely and sweat in. Bring a towel and a bottle of water. Mats and blocks are available for your use if needed, fee of charge. See you on the mat!

In this class with Instructor, Katherine Marino, students learn different key concepts of contemporary dance through technical exercises, guided improvisations, and choreography.
This is a wonderful training opportunity for actors, dancers, acrobats, and yogis who are looking to increase their body awareness and discover new ways of moving. All genders and body types welcome. Suitable for adults brand new to dance or for more experienced dancers looking to refine their technique. Adults 18+
Requirements: Curiosity and playfulness. Comfortable clothes and bare feet.

Expect to be cradled in a deeply restful and replenishing experience. Enter a sacred space of calming dim lights and music from crystal singing bowls, medicine drums, rattles and voice while resting in gentle poses. Restorative Yoga utilizes supportive props to assist the body in gently opening into relaxation. Sound Healing allows the mind, body and heart to drop into deeply nourished states. Join Instructor, Faye Barrett, as the melodic pure tones resonate through the room raising our frequency and rejuvenating our more sensitive sides.
Open to all experience levels. This class is meant to dramatically reduce stress, release emotional blockages, cleanse the aura and is a great addition to any self care practice.

ROCovery Fitness is a supportive community of physically active individuals brought together by sober living, committed to creating an environment of healing and recovery. Members, friends and families are empowered to discover their inner strength and confidence through adventure, fun and camaraderie.
To attend, participants must be 48 hours away from a drink or drug, and fill out the ROCovery Membership form either online, by clicking HERE, or in person prior to the start of class.

Students will focus on linking conscious breath with a vigorous and mindful flow. In this power vinyasa yoga class with Instructor Krystal Finocchiaro, students will build strength, flexibility and concentration while cleansing the body and calming the mind. You can expect a great cardiovascular and strength building workout combined with breath work. Most classes feature several elements of traditional Ashtanga yoga including sun salutations, standing poses, preparation for arm balances, dynamic stretching, and pranayama (breathwork).
The class will be slightly heated so students should bring a towel (for yourself and mat) as well as water to stay hydrated. All levels are welcome.

An invigorating yoga practice and strong Vinyasa Flow in which poses are moved through at a moderately fast pace. Vinyasa connects the breath to the movement and cranks up the cardio while stretching and elongating your muscles. This harmony of breath and movement, lead by Kelsey DiGiugno, will feel like a dance, allowing you to let go of the stress of daily life and become more present and in tune with your SELF.
Baptiste Yoga / Power Vinyasa Yoga, has a specific sequence which allows you to warm up, build heat and stretch from that heat to loosen joints, allowing your muscles to contract more fluidly. The studio will be slightly heated for this class, so be sure to dress accordingly and bring a towel (for yourself and /or your mat), and water for hydration.

Sculpt and Tone Barre Fitness with instructor Heather Farquhar is a dance inspired fitness class designed to target all areas of the body. Combining Pilates, body weight and strength conditioning with yoga and ballet moves and a hint of cardio.

SATURDAYS 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Vinyasa Flow Basics with Instructor, Lisa Continelli, will guide students through a series of poses linked together by deep cleansing breaths with the intention to detox your body and mind. This class will follow Baron Baptiste's "Journey Into Power" sequence. It will combine a full body stretch with cardio elements, strengthening poses, balance, core work, and deep rest.
Students will be taught using verbal cues, modifications, light assists, and demonstrations to break down the poses. This class will provide the basics of Power Vinyasa Yoga and prepare students for open level classes. It is geared towards those who are new to Vinyasa Yoga, but challenging enough for all levels!
Please note: this class will be slightly heated. Students should bring a mat, a hand towel, yogi toes (if needed for your mat), and plenty of water!

Integrate some simple stretching and breathing into your weekend routine with this peaceful and approachable flow that will balance the senses and calm the mind.
Gentle Yoga is a mind-body awareness practice that is far less strenuous than other forms. This relaxed version of yoga with Instructor, Anne Skivington-Simes, emphasizes mental relaxation through a series of breathing instruction and slow yoga stretches and poses. We have a small class-size format that is perfect for meeting your individual needs through the use of equipment such as mats and bolsters. Perfect for beginners or those who wish to practice a slow paced Hatha style yoga with a gentle flow.
